I am an ATHEIST. This, I’m sure, will come as quite the shock to most of you, if you don’t already know, of course. I’ve been in church all of my life - 26 years before realizing my ideological change - and I’ve probably never given anyone reason to doubt my faith. But alas, it is so, that I am now an atheist.
I’m not about to start a whole list of how, why, and when. However, just to give a short and sweet explanation, I will answer all three of those questions in a short and concise manner.
How?
My continual search for truth has led me here. You probably feel that I have been deceived, but I’m quite confident in my current position.
Why?
I ask a lot of questions. Further explanation will probably offend most theists.
When?
Mid-2013 or so. But that was just my realization of the fact. It’s probably been longer. But I wasn’t conscious of the fact until about mid-2013.

I’m more than sure that most of you have a lot you’d like to say. Feel free to send me a message through facebook or google+ or gmail.
But understand that I may not respond to all of them or even most of them if I get too many messages. It is not my intention to hurt friends and family with this new revelation, but it’s hard to be honest without breaking a few eggs.
I will be making this a blog about the thoughts that swirl around in my head. Religion, politics, science, and how they all intertwine. And because of my viewpoint on the subject of religion, you may be offended. I will also undoubtedly be posting blogs on the how and why for my new-found atheism.
DO NOT READ THESE BLOGS IF YOU THINK YOU’LL BE OFFENDED.
This is of the utmost importance. Because once I start posting these, I don’t want to start receiving a bunch of messages and emails about how offended you are about what I wrote, because you will receiving the same message every time.

Now, I’m fine if you read it and want to debate points that I’ve made or challenge my position. I welcome that.
And finally, to end this post, if you feel that you need to unfriend me on social media, then by all means, do so. I’m not going to judge your decision one way or another. If you want to not only sever your link to me on social media but to my personally and completely, then do so. I have nothing against anyone personally that I know. If this new revelation of my change in ideology is a problem for any of you, then by all means, goodbye and have a good life.
